But no one reads a blog to hear about work....here are some shots from Labor Day Weekend...

This is a picture of SMS after our 4th anniversary dinner at The Getty ... great food, great view, great sunset, great four years, and oh yeah, SMS had some great drinks!

This is a picture (one of my famous self-portraits) of me and Mr. Happy in Long Beach after a sub-par breakfast in a mildly Mexican restaurant. I thought the mural made a nice back-drop. Mr. Happy was in town to shoot the Long Beach Blues Festival. Watch this space for some of his pics, or check out his web-site.

This is a picture of me and SMS babysitting...Miss Ava-Bean decided I was not an acceptable companion and would have nothing to do with me (even though I changed her diaper THREE TIMES!). She did however fall in love with SMS and he with her.

This is a picture of Miss Ava-Bean and her mom at The Farmer's Market where we met for lunch on Labor Day. I know most native Angelenos don't have a lot of love for The Farmer's Market, but I am NOT a native. I love The Farmer's Market. I love eating outside but nowhere near a busy street; I love that I don't have to compromise or come to an agreement with others about what to eat (case in point: on Monday, K had a turkey club, I had a brisket sandwhich, SMS had sushi and M had a hamburger and a brisket sandwhich (I am not making this up!)); I love that there is free parking; I love that there is great people watching and I love that it's attached to The Grove which has a Khiels and a Banana Republic!
Not pictured from this weekend: a superb trip to Target, a visit with R, a hike with L, dinner that I cooked(!), with A and a viewing of an amazing but haunting movie: Four Months, Three Weeks and Two Days. Seriously, can everyone in Eastern Bloc countries act this well and make it look this easy?
Lots more pics here: August/September and Ava (newest pic at the end of each set).
Enjoy!
