Oy!

I've been gone a very long time....To anyone who is still out there, I apologize for my long absence. I have completed four weeks of work and I'm pooped! I'm really enjoying it but it wasn't until this past week that I actually felt useful. Before that there was a lot of sitting around and waiting for someone to approve something I wanted to do, or waiting to run something by someone else to ask why we weren't already doing it and then, upon finding out that there was no reason why we weren't doing something, waiting for someone to give me the go-ahead to do something.

My boss remains wonderful, if a bit "hands-off," which will be great once I figure out what I need to run by her and what I don't. Everyone else, save one or two (or three) others, are really nice, glad to have me there and very helpful. I can honestly say I've never been surrounded by so many over-achievers and while it's fairly wonderful, it's also a little overwhelming.

There's not much more to report than that. A lot of work, not a lot of anything else, but I guess I had 8 months of "everything else," so now it's time to put the ol' nose to the ol' grindstone (which is a terrible expression, but I couldn't help myself).
